StreetSaw Warranty Policy
Unprecedented In-Store 90-Day Warranty
All new non-clearance StreetSaw™ hoverboards come backed with a 90-day warranty and are guaranteed against manufacturer's defects during such time direct through StreetSaw (not the manufacturer). Optional, extended warranties, are available for purchase at time of original checkout.
NO OTHER HOVERBOARD RETAILER THAT WE ARE AWARE OF OFFERS THIS KIND OF GUARANTEE
Claims under this policy may be brought directly into any of our retail store locations for repair. If you are not located near a StreetSaw retail store, then you have the following options for warranty service:
1) Ship Hoverboard to Our Store
You may ship your hoverboard into one of our repair shops within 90 days of your original purchase date. We will repair your hoverboard, test it, and ship it back to you.
- StreetSaw is responsible for parts & labor.
- Customer is responsible for shipping to and from our facility.
2) Request Hoverboard Parts and Repair Instructions
This option is for customers who are handy, and do not wish to pay the shipping costs back and forth. We will diagnose the problem with you over the phone and send you the replacement parts necessary to repair the hoverboard. The number of parts we will send to you for self-repair is limited to no more than a single replacement of each existing part.
- StreetSaw will diagnose the broken hoverboard problem over the phone.
- StreetSaw is responsible for sending necessary replacement parts to the customer.
- Customer is responsible for making repair to the hoverboard.
1-Year Manufacturer's Warranty
All of our products come with a 1-year manufacturer's warranty as well. Please be aware that all hoverboard manufacturers are based in China, no matter which company you choose to purchase from.
Typically, the manufacturer's warranty is not the most economical method of repair for either you or our company. This is why we offer a free 90-day warranty direct through our store as stated above (unlike any of our competitors).
If you are past your 90-day warranty through StreetSaw, you may locate the contact information for the manufacturer in the owner's manual that was included with your hoverboard. It may state "smart balance wheel" or "self balancing scooter" on the front of it.
P.S. All hoverboards, no matter the brand, are made in China. Don't be fooled by marketing hype that competitors offer stating that their boards are made in the USA - they are not. Our factory is most likely much better than the others that our competitors use.
Optional StreetSaw Extended Warranties
We also offer extended-warranties for various items on our website. This extended warranty can be added to your cart at the time of purchase. A warranty cannot be purchased separately from the hoverboard purchase meaning, they must be purchased at the same time.
An extended warranty is a service contract that will cover your StreetSaw hoverboard for an additional term, depending on which warranty you opt to purchase.
Clearance Hoverboard Warranty
All terms of the warranty are the same, except clearance items are limited to a 30-day store warranty vs the 90-day warranty.
Refurbished & Pre-Owned Hoverboard Warranty
All terms of the warranty are the same, except refurbished & pre-owned items are limited to a 7-day in-store warranty only vs the 90-day warranty.
All warranties must be registered prior to making a claim. Register your warranty by submitting the following information via our contact page.
- Full name
- Full address
- Email address
- Order #
- Purchase date
- Model & color purchased
You must register your warranty within 30 days of purchase for your warranty to be valid.
Submitting a Claim
Warranty is void if your StreetSaw hoverboard shows visible signs of damage or has been misused beyond what is considered normal use. This especially includes water damage. Wear and tear is not covered under this warranty, only defects in craftsmanship such as receiving a product DOA or a bad chipboard.
In order to submit your claim, use our contact page and describe the exact problem that you are having.
Local drop-off and pickup is always free. Our warranty policy requires the buyer to pay shipping to a StreetSaw repair location and StreetSaw will cover the cost of return shipping (domestic 48-states only)
The following product categories and services are not warrantied:
- Cracked or Broken Frames
- Scratched or Broken Shells
- Non-UL Chargers
- Parts Purchased Separately
- RGB LED Light Strips
- Gift Cards
- Final Sale / Flash Sale Items
How to Return
You may begin processing your return by contacting our help desk. Please read all of the information below before processing a return.
Returns are accepted within 14-days from the date that it shipped. If 14 days have gone by since we have fulfilled your order, unfortunately we can’t offer you a refund or exchange.
To be eligible for a return, your item must be unused and in the same working condition that you received it. It must also be in the original packaging and contain all parts originally included. Hoverboards with a broken holographic seal are not eligible for exchange as this indicates the case was opened and also voids the warranty.
Items returned with any sort of cosmetic (scratches, marks, breaks, etc) or mechanical (broken gyro, bent wheel, etc) damage or electrical damage (circuit boards, battery, logic boards) will not be accepted so please ensure that your StreetSaw hoverboard is in excellent condition before making your return.
The buyer is responsible for payment of the return shipping. All returns must include tracking and full insurance to cover any damage during transit. Hoverboards returned for any reason other than DOA are subject to our restocking fee.
To complete your return, we require a receipt or proof of purchase from our site directly. If you purchased your item anywhere else such as eBay, Craigslist, the trunk of a car, etc. you are not eligible for a return through our online return program. If you purchased your StreetSaw hoverboard through Amazon, then you must also return it via Amazon's return program. For all other purchases other than via our website, you must return your item(s) directly to the seller in which you purchased it from.
Restocking Fee - Hoverboards
Our base restocking fee is 20% of the original retail price of the hoverboard. If the hoverboard has been damaged for any reason, a higher restocking fee may apply in accordance with the following chart:
- 20% - New, unused condition, able to resell.
- 40% - Used, signs of use / light scratches.
- No Returns - Used, obvious scratches, non-working, or not resalable.
Restocking Fees - Replacement Parts & Accessories
For those replacement parts and accessories that are returnable per this policy, the restocking fees are as follows:
- 30% - Hoverboard Batteries, Chargers, Motors, and Frames.
- No Returns - PCBA items including, but not limited to, hoverboard repair kits, motherboards, gyroscopes, bluetooth modules, and LED lights.
- No Returns - Anything that is scratched, broken, or not resalable.
We take DOA (dead on arrival) items very seriously.
If an item is delivered DOA, please inform us immediately. Do not use the product whatsoever, or you may jeopardize your ability to return. Document everything that you can and report them to us via our website so we can sort out how to handle it properly by giving you a return authorization.
We will make sure to handle any DOA items swiftly. Our procedure for DOA items, once you receive return authorization, is to exchange the DOA item for an identical item. Since our policy for DOA items is to provide you with an even exchange, requests for a refund on a DOA item is still subject the our restocking fee.
If we receive an item that was claimed to be DOA, but upon our inspection it was clearly tampered with or not DOA, you will not receive a shipping reimbursement or refund. Please be honest with your DOA returns to avoid this unnecessary charge!
We only replace items if they are DOA or defective to the point that they are considered irreparable.
If you need to exchange your item for another of the same item (and same color), contact us to setup the exchange.
Once your return is received and inspected, we will send you an email to notify you that we have received your returned item. We will also notify you of the approval or rejection of your refund.
If you are approved, then your refund will be processed, and a credit will automatically be applied to your credit card or original method of payment, within a certain amount of days.
ALL REFUNDS ARE SUBJECT TO THE RETURN SHIPPING POLICY BELOW.
Late or Missing Refunds
If you haven’t received a refund within 30 days of making your return, follow these steps:
1) Check your bank account again to make sure you didn’t miss it.
2) Contact your credit card company for a status check; it may take some time before your refund is officially posted to your account.
3) Contact your bank. There is often some processing time before a refund is posted.
If you’ve done all of this and you still have not received your refund yet, please contact us about your refund.
Only regular priced items may be refunded, unfortunately clearance, holiday, and flash sale items are final and cannot be refunded. Clearance items also do not come with a warranty. ALL CLEARANCE ITEM SALES ARE FINAL.
If the item was marked as a gift when purchased and shipped directly to you, you’ll receive a gift credit for the value of your return. Once the returned item is received, a gift certificate will be mailed to you.
If the item wasn’t marked as a gift when purchased, or the gift giver had the order shipped to themselves to give to you later, we will send a refund to the gift giver and he will find out about your return.
If your item was purchased with a StreetSaw gift card, any refunds will be reprocessed as credit to a StreetSaw gift card.

You will be responsible for paying for your own shipping costs for returning your item. Shipping costs are non-refundable unless an item is confirmed defective by our inspectors. If you receive a refund, all of our costs associated with shipping your item from start to finish will be deducted from your refund.
All returns must include tracking and full insurance to cover any damage during transit. Items, especially hoverboards, returned for any reason other than containing a defect are subject to our restocking fee.
